The Former Synagogue St. Pölten is not a museum - the most interesting and beautiful "object" is itself. The room and the permanent presentation "The Synagogue and its Community" tell the story of a once active Jewish community, its extermination during the Nazi era and its significance for current issues. From May 17 to November 10, 2024, the temporary exhibition "Things move. Objects and their Jewish Stories" presents the paths and changes of objects whose Jewish owners were persecuted and expelled by the National Socialists.

The 2024 season begins on April 19 and ends on November 10. The synagogue room is not heated during the winter months. For visits outside the opening period, a request is required: anmeldung@ehemalige-synagoge.at.
