FAIRY TALES & MOZARTFOLKE TEGETTHOFF - Storyteller
CLAUDI ARIMANY FLUTES & STRING QUARTET
Description
Folke Tegetthoff's 45 books to date have sold 1.6 million copies worldwide. His “world tour of fairy tales” took him to a total of 21 countries on all continents in 22 months. In 1986, Murray State University (Kentucky, USA) opened the world's first archive of his work. No other storyteller in the world can boast such an extensive list of guest performances at universities - from Jerusalem to San Francisco to Tokyo. But Folke Tegetthoff has one thing above all: an incomparable aura that envelops everyone as soon as he begins to tell his story.
W. A. Mozart 's music has made it so that many of his melodies - like the classical fairy tales - have become “common property”, in other words quasi folk music. In this sense, Mozart's wonderful flute quartets transport us into a “fairytale world of sound” and form a wonderful atmospheric partnership with the stories told.
The Spanish flute star CLAUDI ARIMANY is the musical colleague of the storyteller in this program and, together with his string colleagues, will musically enchant the audience.
